Honestly, I don't get the hoopla over the "oh she needed two boys to do the coding,"--Well, okay, I do-- outside of poor writing (which is downgraded for grade-school/early childhood already) which doesn't explain that hey, maybe she's part of a team and assigned the UI/graphics role for the lesson. What honestly offends me about the book is that it's about "computer science/engineering" but Barbie doesn't really do any of that in the story. Her teacher doesn't even explain much. She screws up two computers and that's about it. That isn't exactly exploring the Computer Science/Engineering job that I feel the book could've explored (or even educated girls) on. In fact, I feel I probably wouldn't be finding this whole thing hilarious if Barbie actually did the fixing herself but I'd still find the title a bit... off the mark for what the story is actually doing. The whole "game" was just a side plot. But it's a badly written story anyway.
