Halo 2 owned back in the day, but Halo 3 surpassed it. The multi fucking owns. They need to fix playlists so I can just play big Halo 3 maps.

never played halo at a long length of time. played it co-op with mupepe and our friend on his xbox and wasn't impressed then.

i was too busy playing mgs2, dmc1, and ffx like a proper weeaboo then. despite xbox 1 being one of my favorite systems i still have yet to play halo at length. oh well.

ODST is my favorite Halo by miles and miles. Such great atmosphere. Loved kind of exploring and stumbling into shit. One of my favorite games.

I rate them more in terms of campaign experience. Halo 2 would rate higher but the middle of the game is such a drag. Never liked the bait and switch aspect of it compared to the E3 demo. Game was rushed and unfinished. Very uneven game, but I love the last 3 levels in the game.

It's a bit funny about ODST. The actual campaign levels are good but none are really outstanding. But the whole campaign is fairly even. No Cortana or Library level dragging the game down a bit.

Halo 3 is not perfect, but it tried a lot of things (abilities, support weapons, scarab fights). Story and campaign are coherent and conclusive. My only 3 complaints is the Cortana level, the annoying Cortana flashes and Cortana was never really in danger or rampant.

I have little to complain about in terms of MP. I thought Halo 4 was a fine MP experience. I love the big team battles.

I like the Firefight modes of ODST and Reach. Fun to play alone, fun to play online.

Spartan Ops in Halo 4 was a flop for me, it felt like recycled, leftover campaign bits. Drop it in favor of Firefight in Halo 5.

Never got the Halo hype, mainly because I wasn't never into playing FPS with a controller. Co-op was cool but when it comes to death match I just can't rely on a controller, give me a mouse.

I was too busy playing Wolfenstein ET and the WWII CoDs. And UT.

Not really. Outside of the lock-on RPG which wasn't that big of a deal it was pretty okay multiplayer wise. Boarding action really brought a new element to the vehicle combat sandbox.

Halo 2 on Legendary really shows how brilliant it is, IMO.

Legendary is 2 is total bullshit. One hit-kill sniper rifle AI enemies. Fucking moving you back to the checkpoint, over and over and over. On a controller it's unbearable. On PC/Vista (before that stupid mouse acceleration bug) it was bearable but still stupid.

I've never been an actual fan of Halo. I can of find the Halo universe painfully generic and unintersting so I never understood the huge swell of excitment into all the lore and shit. I also don't really care about the single player for most of the games.

Halo 1-Great multi obviously and decent single player. I mean I enjoyed the open levels a lot. For me, that was something new compared to say Perfect Dark. Lots of the inside levels were pretty boring. Still, the scale was something new for me in FPS.

Halo 2-I guess I enjoyed the Earth stuff even though it never lived up to that original trailer. Other then that it was pretty unremarkable. Fantastic multi.

Halo 3-The single player just felt pretty tired by then. It even seemed like they ran out of ideas by just throwing in more of those big mech things. Never got into the multi. Still seemed strong, it's just I guess CoD4 came out and took over.

ODST-Good game.

Reach-Hated the multi. Powers and loadouts were terrible. Single player was good though and I sure enjoyed that it was somewhat stand alone.

4-Kind of crap. Multiplayer was terrible with a shitty out of date matchmaking system. Single player was graphically great, but very just I don't know kind of done. Like I wanted them to do something to shake up the series and in the end the game in story and gameplay was the complete opposite.

Yeah, he injects himself in every thread but it's just easy to ignore unlike a lot of posters that in essence hijack threads.
Further, dude's got an awful life. I wouldn't want it. I don't think it a big deal to let him have his posts even if they are the same thing over and over.
