How many insiders has gaf had now which swear up and down that they've heard "reports" from "sources" that FF7 remake is happening/has been in dev for years/is getting announced IN THIS CONFERENCE!/etc?

Yes she does.  Looks extremely similar to Marie Rose.  Just with an even worse design that looks like someone randomly slapped edit parts onto a model in a character editor.

You know a good portion of the children championing that shit but would ignore it or actively dump on it if it was instead exclusive to the enemy tribe's console. I'd gladly bet on it being this generation's Haze or Lair...maybe a month or two after release of the diehard's claiming it's being unfairly persecuted until they move on to the next thing and it's utterly forgotten.

Sure. But PXG isn't in the wrong to say "What is the big deal?" It's a video-game, you're going to gun down people in nearly all of them. The timing of a cop-shooting-civilians one is just poor. If it came out two years ago? No one would've batted an eye outside of "OMG THE HORROR."

(Besides the singleplayer mode apparently lets you do non-Lethal takedowns and the multiplayer has a stun-gun that'll let you "interrogate"/arrest the bad-guys to get a UAV-like heads-up on the minimap so...)

Hardline is at least somewhat fantasy--turning a police chase into a literal urban war zone to catch some bank heist perps. 

The whole decade of killing brown people in the desert FPS games was much worse.  Those were propaganda and military recruitment tools rolled into one.  And if you complained about it anywhere on the internet, there wasn't a discussion, you were just called a cigarillo, told to stfu, and to go back to nintendo or some shit

I remember that. Full Spectrum Warrior owned. Some of those desert storm games were tight. BF2 was the cats pjs of course.

Shame Nam never took off as a setting. It was bad timing, what with the Iraq war just starting. We need to give Nam another shot in the game space. That war was the next logical step and it was skipped too quickly.

I'd rather see them go back to WWII, just a different campaign instead of the typical Europe or Pacific settings. CoD2 was amazing, some of my favorite multiplayer especially when you could find a nice group of strategic players. Flanking
