It's amazing seeing nerds get so defensive over the idea of "cinematic gaming," when nearly every cinematic game has a shitty story. Stop acting like this shit is the upper echelon of your hobby - it's tryhard tripe that isn't even straight to DVD status.

These are the same people that think 300, Wreck it Ralph, and Guardians of the Galaxy are on par with Lawrence of Arabia. They have a child's understanding of narrative complexity.

thank you Youtube...

FTFY. You're welcome. Why bother playing it yourself when you can see all the cutscenes for the terrible story with the QTE's added?

Ya know...I may not actually Gamefly this shit. My meds make me super wish-washy when it comes to shit now, like scattershot to the nines, and I simply have no patience for hand-holdy bullshit. I need a game to throw me into the gameplay. I can't handle this "walk with me and talk/look at this" bullshit anymore.

Only issue I had with Mumei as a mod was that everyone would clamor for them to make an appearance, ignoring the actual discussion or trying to hold it at bay until the heroes arrived, and shut down the bigots with reading material and you could tell it would take the wind out of the sails of threads in part because of the red name and encourage one faction. Especially since it'd a.) be quoted endlessly and b.) people would be told to shut up until they read everything Mumei posted and then they could come back after learning to agree. I imagine that will dissipate over time.

I think "red names" need to be aware of the effect that badge/power has over discussion*. The best example is probably how Steve Youngblood goes into threads and demands bitcoins or he'll wreck up the joint. Then mails parts of cats nailed to a picture of him hovering over the ban button to users. I think that's really uncalled for and problematic.

GAF dogpiles are always problematic, especially when the person isn't allowed to respond but instead banned after 25 people quote them just to express disgust. It would nice for mods to clarify that a poster was not banned for their shitty opinion in one thread but for something posted in another when that's the case. Then there's no dancing on the grave and it doesn't promote the image that some views are ban worthy when they aren't. Kabouter or somebody clarified a ban in a recent thread I saw that it was for the guy having been a recurring alt account and it stopped most of that.

*Of course, they might be and use it to their advantage.
Yeah, that was me who got besada to clarify that shit.  I then ran away because I didn't like the eye of mordor looking at me.

It's the same group of people who think that Christopher Nolan is this era's Stanley Kubrick.

Nolan probably cries himself to sleep at night knowing that he'll never be as good as Kubrick.

But Sony is kicking ass. It won the generation free.  I don't get this cheerleading. They don't need it anymore.  They won. It's over.

I don't get all the cheerleading for The Order when one month later you have Bloodborne, another 1st party exclusive with a gothic-esque setting, but unlike The Order this one actually has the chance to be good.

You're either being obtuse or thick Zefir, imagine if you just watched the last five minutes of Spartacus, without any sort of context to frame it in.

If you take away the gay sex, it would a shorter series. Suffice to say, if there wasn't aids Freddie Mercury would still be with us.

Squiddy, when did you ever contribute anything to our board worth of note? You spammed the foreign news thread with bullshit. I haven't see you participate in our highly active tv/movie threads, and we're definitely more focused on the arts than gaf (tv and movie threads have 11k posts respectively). We really don't take anything from larger boards aside from maybe coli smilies, but everyone is ripping those from the coli so it's hardly unique to the bore, and there's plenty of that even on gaf. Even then, almost half of the "coli" smilies were made by us. Every nerd board discusses anime and games. Big whoop, we must be ripping off gaf! Face it Squiddy, you're a terrible poster and the only boorish one here is you. Make a post worth reading and maybe we'll give you some attention, Toupe'-chan.

Wow! Thank you so much for contributing to our wonderful forum, Squiddy!

You said we rip content from other boards, but your threads was supposedly "original" content stolen from gaf with its "let's make a thread for every news story" policy. We don't do that. We have our own identity. We'll make post something like that in the relationship thread. Oh, but you didn't get our identity, and you tried to make it gaf-lite -  we aren't - and yet we're the ones who rip off from larger communities?

Well I can only speak for myself, but because I don't find it particularly unprofessional. Molyneux is way too good to just dance around the press, and this interview seems to be the first that didn't just let itself be convinced by his talking. Interviewer is harsh, but everything he says is true and backed up by facts, he even catches Molyneux lying again a few times in the interview.

Maybe he shouldn't have started out with that question, but on the other hand it kind of sets the tone. I'm happy it was done, and I'm not surprised that Molyneux starts blaming others, especially one particular member who left the team (he actually mentioned him by full name in the interview, which is now edited out) and pretty much said all of the reward stuff and what not was his fault... For quitting his job.

I used to be a big Bullfrog and Lionhead fan, but it's sad the way Molyneux has gone down. Now he's just a man with crazy ideas that never actually results in anything.  I can only laugh at the people who actually kickstarted it though. On the other hand I don't understand so much of GAF defending Molyneux and feeling bad for him.

Maybe they did attempt that, but he did after all have MS and other censoring him a little back then. Now he got unfriendly with his normal PR person (look at his old PR persons posts on GAF calling Peter out) and is free to do what he wants. Which for example is having a meltdown at an interview like this.
