It get's bashed because it's bad. I like how an effort to streamline Eva did the exact opposite. Though I guess streamline means dumb down every character, take any logic out of Eva's worldbuilding, and have pos characters like Mari.

I stopped responding to interview request from people on Angel List because I realized they usually had no idea what it would take to make what they wanted and most weren't willing to pay what it would take.

This is the thing that gets me. All these nerds on NeoGAF think that VR is suddenly gonna be something they can sit down and play 16 straight hours of Halo and CoDBlops in, but the reality is that the tech just isn't good enough to do anything more than ride 5 minute roller coasters.

I mean I guess if you want to play awful PS2 looking games with a bulky head set on then be my guest, but right now VR is a marketing gimmick, its great for suckering sales reps into your booth at a trade show, but in a year it wont have progressed and everyone will be bored of roller coasters and on to the next marketing gimmick. Just like how 3 years ago Kinect based mini games were all the rage at trade shows. Then iPad apps, now its VR.

Correct. He redid the board's "theme" and styles. The only good thing from him is making a "dark" theme. Which, IIRC, wasn't even HIM. It was someone else that helped him out in making sure the CSS for the board wouldn't explode from the images or whatever.

Look at that nasty shit. Orange/grey logo on a white/blue template. Tacky gradients in the logo with a schizophrenic 'N' that alters between hard edges and curved lines with no rhythm to its shape.

The text of "NeoGAF" is some disgusting italicized all caps space-boner joke font. And "believe" ain't funny or relevant in 2013. It only works as this dumb ironic trite joke, but it's so lazy/basic I'm surprised it took off.

That said, the update is nice with the night theme. Colors have consistency to them. The logo has been improved. Less gradient, the 'N' mellowed out a bit.

The logo needs to decide whether it's 2D or 3D. Top half looks 2D but bottom half's still slinging that gradient. The font is better and the text color reflects the logo. All around improvement.


It's hard to believe so many of you liked the logo originally. It was pretty jarring going from Gaming Age -> NeoGAF. I thought I remembered some backlash then. Obviously, we all got accustomed to the new look (stockholm syndrome up in this bitch).
