By a wide margin, imo. And I wasn't really a fan of Lucioball

CTF is hilarious when you figure how to fuck it though.

I took two caps in a row solo when my team was looking for kills and trying to pound through just by picking Sombra and using translocator/invisibility to run around to the flag, cap it and TP back.

Still lost because other team copped on quick but there's some fun fuckery with some characters with good movement like Sombra and D.Va.

I miss Snowball Fight  :fbm

I played 3 games of it and it's entertaining but not amazing enough to put down Persona 5 or the other endings of NieR: Automata for. I do like that they're adding more PvE content though. More game modes are always nice.

Tried one match before bed. I think I prefer Junkenstein's focused approach. I did play Mercy though so it was hellllla boring just healing and buffing.

i dominated TF2 for years as a Medic but the smaller number of teammates makes Mercy (who is basically a Medic with team revive and that neat boost to teammate) much harder to control the flow of the game like i'm some kind of grandmaster sixth dimensional chess playing Chris Paul watching the entire court before i trigger the uber

should make her pistol self-heal like the blutsager, just sayin' :teehee

too bad you can't save play of the games because in like literally my fourth game of overwatch i revived all five players in overtime after holding off three players on the opposing team with the pistol while staying on the payload because i've played a fucking objective based FPS before, i knew it was all down hill from there

that guy also has a bunch of Dirty Bomb videos...it's like he's my most of my FPS rotation for the last year, Titanfall 2, Dirty Bomb, Rainbow Six: Siege and Overwatch

now i kinda wanna play mercy but actually secretly want to play TF2 and see if i can dominate as medic right off the bat...

spoiler (click to show/hide)
like a few months ago after getting my 1060 i booted up DoD:S just to supersample the crap out of it and after a round where i just got massacred it flipped over to Donner and i started following my old paths and wound up like 37-13 and had five times as many captures as anyone else and by the end of it some guy with the server's tag was telling me to stop throwing primed nades through this totally legal gap over a wall where there's no brush but until you've played thousands of games throwing thousands of nades you wouldn't probably hit the spot 100% of the time with the prime right but it's like muscle memory kicked in (then i rush around the corner my friend the BAR places the survivors back in the spawn queue while my team refuses to advance) ... though i never got the timing right where you can cap both of the last flags before the spawn queue got to zero by going diagonally and then diving for it

then on avalanche i was doing the thing where you hit the skybox with the nade which makes them drop straight down mid-flight and like this 50 year old sounding guy with the same clan tag comes on over the voice chat "stelio are you doing an exploit?" and the first guy was like "i don't know what he's doing, he was doing stuff with nades on the last map too"

ahh memories can't wait for when they release the Source 2 version of that

^ They really need to add a highlight/PoTG auto-save function, or set an expiry timer like 24hours. Sometimes people get disconnected before they get to save stuff. Think of all the lost beautiful PoTGs out there. RIP

Btw, OBS lets you save in original quality. So you can record the PoTG/highlight from the menu before you disconnect.

I'm pretty sure they've talked about adding the feature before, but I wouldn't expect it to come anytime soon. I'd imagine it'd be harder to retrofit in a replay system a-la Rocket League or Halo into a game, but it would be nice if they added it.

Someone buy me these pls

Lotsa good skins. Really like D.Va's; she looks so pretty. Junkrat and Roadhog got two goofy dances they can use together. I'm digging it.

Too bad they didn't make the dance emotes permanent loot. Now there is too much event loot, and not enough permanent loot.

Also the new white UI is awful, where is the dark theme?

Yeah I'm really surprised that they went the "seasonal loot" way for their anniversary. These skins should be permanent. Especially for someone like Zarya who has mostly trash skins anyway.

which essentially summarizes an overwatch "anniversary"

I wanted to grind some boxes on arcade last night but shit man, 3v3 is dumb, capture the flag is dumb, total mayhem is alright but I feel like I win every time just by spamming healing with Lucio and bumping people off the payload

yup. I already got tier 2 of the weekly arcade thing done but I don't think I have it in my to grind arcade for 3 more wins. I don't enjoy any of these modes.

wait so everyone hates Mercy? she's one of the characters i've been playing and i feel like im doing pretty good as her. i always end up in the commendations vote thing at the end, usually with about 25% team damage healed. not sure how good that is comparatively, but whatever. also been playing d.va, widowmaker, and sombra. all are pretty damn fun.

If you're in Quick Play, play whatever you want. It's the only way to learn, so people should just deal with it (as long as you're trying). Although if there's already an Ana and a Lucio, you don't really *need* to go Mercy. The team will probably benefit better from another tank, or whatever.
Some heroes get picked on more than others, because either they're harder to master, or they just don't fit in certain maps. Hanzo and Widow gets picked on a lot, especially Widow since she's not viable on most maps (unless you're very good at her).

I wouldn't say people hate Mercy. She's super easy to play, and does great healing (although Ana is better, but that doesn't matter). Anyway this is all a whole different story if you're playing competitive. But if you like the game and wanna keep enjoying it, stay away from competitive. It's way too toxic. lol

Again, if it's Quick Play, play whichever you want tbh. But it's good to learn 2 of each role so you're flexible enough to fill roles or switch if you feel you're doing bad. I'm trying to play Widow more but it's hard because she won't work with a lot of maps. So I often switch to DPS or tank if we need more of a push. D.Va is always good, and works for all maps imo. As long as you're having fun~

The maps themselves, along with attacking and defending, change the viability of a ton of characters. Mercy is great to use as a medic in the majority of situations.

OH!
