Season 2 is going to start off with some big balance changes (Mika players are already salty as fuck

) and Capcom's Nakayama just got on stage and announced that the other five characters coming to the game all are "new to Street Fighter." So that doesn't necessarily mean brand new characters, I guess.

The update is live. This is gonna take some getting used to. Things really do feel different for some characters. Also nice to see that Chun got her lighting legs (mash kick) back but also kept the qcf motion as well. I thought someone said that Cammy got her air throw back? Nope.

Akuma-Lion is way more fun than Ryu or Ken and looks like he could really fuck some shit up. It's going to be fun seeing how the top tiers change now.

New character reveal coming today.

All signs point to it being Helen, who becomes Gill's assistant Kolin (in SF3) during the game's story mode.

She's all over the story mode (mainly interacting with Charlie) and in Charlie's story mode too, IIRC.

I wonder if they are going to update the in-game model with some more detail. She looks kind of 'simple' in the story mode.

Can't seem to get a read on what kind of character she is. Read one source saying she's almost akin to Rose in SF4 and another saying that she was actually more like a grappler type and was slow-moving, but with defensive zoning attacks.

Also LOL at this being a "new character to SF." Oh, Capcom. You so crazy.

Like what I'm seeing here. She reminds me of a much more interesting Karin. Updated model, too.

I hope a new grappler gets added (and I assume one will since one appears to be a 'big guy') since none of the current grapplers really click with me in this game.

Kolin is pretty fun!

Not sure if she is gonna be a new main for me, but she's definitely going in my character rotation. Hopped online and schooled mutha fuckaz with her counters. People are not sure what to do yet, but that goes double for me against a lot of other characters. Saw a lot of other people trying her out. Way more people than I saw using Akuma when he got released.

I took it as a sign that this was a character for me when I won my first match with her in a mirror and the other guy rage quit.

So did anyone try the beta? I messed around with it a bit on the first night, but just used Cammy. The air throw she got back is welcome, but the animation for it is so weird, lol.
