So has anyone been re-watching the old series? How does it hold up?

I have. I was posting my impressions in the last X-Files thread.

Found it, thanks.

Mods, any chance we can have a merged topic?

Which is funny, because I couldn't find it when searching for "files" because of that. I ended up finding it by searching for "Chris Carter."

Save future generations trouble by merging Lager's thread with this one?

Started watching this again.

What is it with 90's media and distinguished mentally-challenged children being national security risks?

:rofl oh my GOD the roach episode in season 3 :rofl

War of the Coprophages! That's one of the Darin Morgan episodes.  Wish he had something closer to Joss Whedon's career.

Well they can read the NSA codes if the NSA put them on cereal boxes.

I've decided to attempt watching through this entire series. I watched it from time to time as a kid but that's extent of my exp with it. The first few eps were pretty good. I have a feeling the monster of the week stuff might start to get 2silly4me but the Scully x Mulder sexual tension should be enough to keep me interested.  :)

The monster of the week episodes where the best imho, little self contained shows

I felt they were pretty useful. The megaton episodes are the hit / miss ones, imo.
