Got written up because I refused to throw the client under a bus for an honest mistake they made.
Seems like I'm the only one that remembers the client is the one who pays us and you don't maintain relationships by straining them.

Why did Git become the dominant versioning client for software. Shit just makes my head hurt it ways P4 and SVN never did.

Had a big follow up about it. Argued my case that if we can't help the client why are we even doing business with them and that clients hire us to do make their jobs easy and painless and we were doing neither.

Ran out of food at home so I decided to grab a take and bake pizza pie on the way back after work. Stores were already closed. Was super psyched to crush it but I forgot about it in the oven and it got fuckin scorched. Had to force myself to eat a few slices of black pizza so I wouldn't have to starve.  This is my life.  :clap

Also basically broke and out of weed and pills. :neogaf @ me 4 bothering to wake up in the morning.

Forcing yourself to eat failed food attempts due to hunger or pride :lawd

One time I tried to recreate an awesome camp stew at home. The stew consisted of various vegetables, beef chunks, seasonings, pancake mix, and some other shit I still don't remember. I used too much pancake mix and created the nastiest shit I've ever produced in a kitchen. Having blown most of my food budget I had to eat a bowl of that shit; no matter how much creole seasoning I dumped in it still tastes bland and dry. I couldn't admit defeat tho.

Someone texted me on accident asking if I was going to be home for dinner, which I left alone to save them face, and then they sent a "whoops, my bad" text with an Android smiley in it hours later--as if I could possibly imagine someone wanting me home for dinner tonight. :goty

My pay (and that of all my coworkers under the same status) is now 12 days late, which is a travesty considering we are already paid around the 10 of each month and that we received numerous communications from above that dates would be upheld. The company I am working for has currently lapsed back under legal protection and should change owners in a few days which could involve legal shenanigans for my upcoming wage...

Also atmosphere is lousy, half the fulltime employee force will probably be jobless by next month, supervision has become non-existent.

I work at a Help Desk that supports law firms.  Mondays can get pretty bad in the morning, but when you have pretty much nobody there to actually even answer the phones, it's a real problem.   :lol  I'm not even supposed to be taking calls in my current role but had to do so since it was just me and one other guy there for a couple of hours.

Eh, been here long enough that none of this shit phases me anymore.  Shortly after I started here, there was a massive ice storm that shut down the city for a week.  I was one of the poor schmucks who still made it into work every day.  I was a n00b and still one of like 2-3 people handling stuff every day.  Now I have a ton of experience and can handle shit left and right.  Still sucks seeing a queue loaded with calls that have been sitting there for 30+ minutes minutes though.
