If you're going to include sexual and risque content in your animation make it tasteful and well directed.

Why? Kill La Kill isn't trying to be tasteful. It dosent care about being lewd. Like I don't know why you'd compare it to a character study show with a 70's erotic tone. Kill was an over the top action show all about style and nothing else. It's humorous and at times intensely directed. I don't see how simply because it reveals in exaggeration to the point of even it's fanservice makes it bad. It wasn't for you.
It certainly isn't waifu trash. Even if people get off on it, it wasn't about having a anime gf. The show at every corner attmepts to be as zany as possible, from the plot, the staging, and art direction. You say it's trash and yet it is always creative in every avenue. Including with how it plays with it's cheap animation budget. Many times it's cheap animation is directed/intentional and played for laughs.
I mean I'm not sure why simply having fanserive means it's bad and that seems to be your entire logic. I don't think KLK was trying to be some feminist empowering thing. It's a show where fashion designers are huge villains. It's a stupid show and it's not written as some otaku pandering show. Yes, it's got TnA and in that way it's male focused, but really not anymore then an American Superhero comic. It dosen't have some male insertion character, is'nt about having female characters who are subservient to the male viewer, and hopes to appease you with some pure anime gf.
It's a stupid action show with TNA.
