Even then, if you were like 8-10 or so when they debuted you'd be within 25-30 range. I wouldn't necessarily put them in "dad rock" since they aren't AC/DC or Rolling Stone "classic" level yet.

Honestly they are one of the best live bands I've ever seen. They love the audience, and they go so far out of their way to give them an epic show. If you're a musician, Grohl and his band are some of the people you aspire to when you talk about performing live.

I mean that's cool, but like every song they've ever written seems to have the exact same format, with the exact same build up and the exact same chorus style. I guess if you can't write interesting songs you compensate by being a high energy performer. Its the musical equivalent of being a scrappy white guy in sports.
