Titanfall seems like a good game, but at this point I'm not into running around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for kills type FPS. I want FPS with at least a casual objective focus above just a slayer mode. A lack of a single player also killed my interest. I still like single player modes and they created this cool looking world all for naught.

Capture the Flag? Conque--er--whatever Titanfall calls it? Domination, I guess?

As far as "chicken with head cut off": Not really. You use the parkour to go "fast" a la Tribes and then reach the roof tops where people can easily spot you or stay near ground level on walls to avoid being shot.

I bought it and haven't even touched it. Like you the beta was my "have you seen" mode, saw all the cards it was playing. Went  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Gave it "Origin Game Time" and poop-socked to max rank in 2 days. Then I bought the GotY edition for like $7 months ago and haven't even touched the DLC maps (that weren't included with game time) or the Hoard Mode because the game has this weird "lag" due to the Azure servers. Oh and PC playerbase plummeting.

I kinda wish I saved that $7 for a Whopper at this point.

I never like those modes in small map games like Titanfall or CoD and they are never the popular modes anyway. At least on Xbone it was mostly TDM or Just DM which are just running around killing people. Parkour doesn't change that. It's still just teams of people running around shooting.

Titanfall has Frontier Defense. It gives you turrets to place.

And it's the best thing ever. EVER. (Done by Respawn.) Can always seem to find a game on PC at least. It also shows the flaw of limiting the number of other players so low in the standard Attrition mode because having whole waves of Mortar and Nuke Titans to battle at once is crazy yo.

Its maps aren't really that small either...especially vertically.

EDIT: Paid like $10 for Titanfall and then $5 for Season Pass (which they then gave to everyone for free like a month later but I ain't too mad) and am like Level 49 or somethin with basically everything unlocked and my playtime is like 90% FD, 5% Attrition, 5% Domination. I give it a 9.75. AW gets a 9.5.

I think it's legit to be a bit removed and cold about whatever current film is grabbing the headlines because the hype machine do tend to try to feed us the idea that whatever blockbuster flick is way more than it is and that a new definitive masterpiece of the trade is released every two weeks.
