All the hype and history shit is going to go down pretty poorly though, when people look back at this they wont see a great fighter dominating a champion, they'll see a guy who never defended shit being gifted chances by his org to make money. I don't disagree, but it's not all on Conor. The UFC is to blame for turning the sport into a business first, sport second, in the sense that they've started going solely for money fights and not for who deserves matchups etc.

Bellator is actually fast becoming legit with all the top young talent they are signing, RIZIN was made to be a spectacle, UFC sadly is tending back towards carny territory since recently. Pre McGregor and the sale there was a definite trend towards legitimacy and I feel the sport will get back there once the stupidity is over.
