GAF isn't that tough to figure out
It grew in the wilder days of the net, and it got attention because people would leak to the forum. Companies got mad, so they cleaned up the leaks. Still game companies started looking at it for that and for its size, which was inflated by leaks and forum personalities.
But then they stopped the leakers. Had fake info stars that didn't follow through on stuff. And then they began banning their forum personalities (except for Megapedo 64 of course). Hits began dropping, so EL decided to go the Social Justice route. Anyone who had been there for awhile saw that as a joke, because we knew the history of the forum didn't match that attitude but it didn't matter to those involved. OT got cleansed. Tyler thought hte forum was all his friends, so he purged communities that he didn't fit itno. Place kept shrinking and shrinking, but it replaced those it lost at the top with those at the very bottom, meaning gamefaq rejects.
Forum became nothing but sycophants, which Tyler sold to advertisers as a shrinking but unquestioning audience for their products. Shills began increasing. So on and so on. They couldn't outpace the shrinking audience no matter what they did and the forum became more a joke. The forum itself had nothing of its own to begin with. It didn't create memes, but regurgitated them. Now the far left politics of the place was its first meme and turned people away.
And then Amirox. And then Tyler screwed up handling that. It hits news. rest in pedos.
