I'm telling you Daemon my right own a gun and use it for self defense if someone is trying to kill me has actually made me more patriotic when I read you can't do the same in other countries. 

In Spain you can only use it for hunting purposes/shooting range unless the "Guardia Civil" deems you're either a high security agent or a person whose life might be on permanent risk. that makes for around 0.03% of the population.

I'm not even kidding, if someone trespasses your home (and I mean the house/apartment,not just the yard), you can't do jack shit here. There was a pretty big case about a guy and his wife getting tied up and repeatedly beaten so they would give away location of the cash. I don't remember well the details, but after all the proof that he disarmed one of them and killed them, it couldn't just be ruled as autodefense. The prosecution went heavy on them. It sucks because there are some ex-military from East Europe doing some violent crimes with guns, and you can't protect yourself in a place where the cops would need more than 15 minutes at least to show up.

Absolutely ridiculous. The more I read the more I see most gun laws for what they are: attacks on everyday law abiding citizens. In America some people are arrested for crossing state lines with a carry license and having the wrong magazine size. I see gun laws more and more as wrong and ignorant the more I research.

Funnily, it's the attitude of people like James who made me look into a pro-gun.

I'm really hoping congress passes the National Concealed Carry Reciprocity bill.

I don't think you actually read what I wrote.

If you read the thread you'll see I was on the fence at first. The first post I made in that thread I literally said "I'm considering getting a gun for this reason." I also suggested reading material that was pro-gun ("This Non Violent Stuff'll Get You Killed: A History of Guns and the Civil Rights Movement) while still being very much on the fence.

I switched my stance because anti- gun people's arguments were absolutely insulting. The pro-gun people won me over. I had gone my whole life hearing anti-gun stances and why they were bad. I also secretly thought guns were cool as shit. I remember texting Mupepe about the thread and we both laughed about how anti-gun people are such assholes (hi James) that it makes being pro-gun easy as pie.

After that I've researched both sides and have come to the conclusion that the liberals in America are on the wrong side of the issue.

Anti-gun people aren't going to continue to do well against fence sitters while regularly warning everyone of the danger of Trump's presidency. Calling him the next Hitler, a fascist, surrounded by white supremacists is going to make every day people want a means of protection just like me. When some dumb ass corn flake hippie mother fucker liberal tells them guns are bad and acts like a jerk, they're just doing a good job of  selling that person the position to own a gun.

At that point, what's the point of having a car that goes 300 mph? 300 mph is fast af and will undoubtedly result in someone's death. But you don't use that argument on the car for whatever reason. I don't see people requesting the ban of Bugatti's.

A car going 300 MPH is for the Salt Flats or purposely closed courses. Most folks that buy a Veryon aren't jamming the pedal down on busy highways unless they're idiots like that Texas Crash.

That thread was almost a month ago. In that time I have taken two NRA gun safety classes amounting to about 8 hours worth of gun education. Another thing is that it doesn't take much to learn about guns. Someone who hasn't shot a gun as an adult is a lot different than someone who has shot a .40 or .45 in terms of awareness of guns. Going to a range and shooting multiple guns will do that. I am willing to admit I am wrong and see what I was wrong about. Guns are also a thing you don't just impulse buy. It's like buying any other investment. This requires research and time.

If you can't come up with a stance on an issue like this and argue that stance after a month of research you're a goddamn idiot. Now, I won't claim to be an expert on guns but a lot of these arguments are dry and weak and in the case of James' arguments steeped in emotion and assumptions.

I'm the same as before but now support a means to protect myself with legal force. That's all.

I never said I bought a gun because of a fascist American government. I was talking purely about Kame Sennin's crazy gaf post  (thanks Benji on the correction that he has a few guns but his post is still ridiculous).

I brought it up because i find the liberal contradiction in "white supremacists have been emboldened" "Donald trump is the next Hitler!" talk funny in combination with "don't buy a gun!"

Personally, I had been thinking of buying a gun as far back as the Pulse shooting and Pink Pistols teaching LGBTQ people how to shoot at ranges nation-wide. The election just acted as the catalyst where I stopped toying with the idea and started to look into it.

In summary: I'm not a gun owner because I'm scared of the government. I'm a gun owner because it's more likely for me to get murdered because I'm trans on top of hate crimes (which could mostly be fake) in post-election. Liberals calling Trump a fascist while being anti-gun is fucking hilarious though. Because if they recognize he's a fascist no way would not want to exercise that right. If it hasn't been clear already. Super Mario Run showcases again the disconnect between the core console gaming community (NeoGAF, gaming press & forums, etc.) and the usual casual audience (which is Nintendo's main audience on mobile).

Guess what - not only is the established F2P model with micro-transactions way more profitable (which should be Nintendo's only interest), it is also more pro-consumer in the mind of everyone not in the gaming bubble.

When Nintendo announced that SMR will be a title that you have to pay only once for and you get the whole game, people in the gaming community were positively surprised at the "pro-consumer move" in comparison to the typical whaling model mobile titles established.

But is it really pro-consumer? No, it isn't because that isn't what consumers on mobile devices want. They want the ability to play the whole game for free, no matter how many "optional" micro-transactions, advertisements and pop-ups fill up the game. And that is not a bad thing. It is best for the audience that mobile devices have and more importantly for companies them wanting to make a lot of cash.

And worst, it will cost Nintendo in multiple ways. Not only do they make way less money, they will also lose mobile consumer trust, lose the typical word-of-mouth effect that results in the legs F2P titles typically enjoy and worst destroys Nintendo's main strategy of mobile titles affecting their console software efforts as it was the case with Sun/Moon. Hey, Pokemon GO was F2P with micro-transactions!

Super Mario Run will still make good money but its potential is completely wasted by not going completely F2P and it will be the same for every future mobile title if they don't adapt.

Even if profit is secondary (which it isn't), you don't engage people to your brand by turning them away from their brand which is what they are partly doing right now with SMR.

Start with an caliber of .22 or .380 or .9 mm. All are great starter cals. And as that gun smoke leaves the muzzle after the bullet is ejected via the hammer striking that primer, you'll learn what true power feels like, what it's like to hold it, and that with proper training, is nothing to be afraid of.

All the ranges I've been to have the four rules plastered all over the place. Abide them and you'll do fine. People will be more than willing to help if you have questions. Just say you're new to shooting.

As an archer you'll get along nicely and enjoy a new sport.

I've shot 22 rifles before when I was younger, but I know any of my husbands guns would knock me on my ass. And I'm so paranoid about safety that when I was teaching the kids archery I wouldn't even let them noc and arrow until everyone was well clear, much less draw. I'd just bring everyone down ranting about trigger discipline and such lol
