re: dreamers being "too lazy" to register for DACAAt the time, there was a lot of discussion about whether potential beneficiaries would trust the government enough to sign up. They were being asked to hand over information that could easily be used to deport them if the policy were reversed. In light of the current administration, that seems pretty relevant.
