You guys don't get it. While social media creates the illusion of connecting us, the pressures of a status-driven system quantified by engagement metrics is a driving force for alienation, and it's only going to get worse.

I learned this from Danielle Bregoli's Instagram story where she posted a black screen with the text "fed up with these fake friends" followed by the "100" and toenail paint emojis.
