I'd say about now in the cycle, South Carolina came before Nevada last time and Trump won that along with NH and basically a tie in Iowa. Jeb! dropped out and Rubio was cratering. That was when like Hannity switched over from what I recall. Some obviously like Lou were with Trump from the start. And some hoped Cruz could come through, like Rush, although not Fox, was pretty Cruz favorable until it was obviously too late.

I always felt Rubio was their guy. Then Christie shived him on live TV.

msnbc keeps harping on Bernie's DINO thing. and I hope right after he wins, he registers as independent.

That'd would be some wild shit. There's no way he doesn't do that to go down in history as the first.

Trump Yes for Prez jumped 2c on Predictit after Nevada became clear. Republicans are genuinely gleeful about Bernie being the nominee. Can't wait for that to explode in their faces as Bald Emperor stands over the corpse of their orange champion's presidency.

I mostly remembered that Trump was openly feuding with Megyn Kelley, so Roger Ailes had to play peace maker, and that was well into the summer 2016.

How about "no," Esch?

When his Fuck Off Dollars don't fuck over people that use welfare/aka: the Poor, then I'll listen to him. Until then his platform was a bandaid on a gaping chest-wound of capitalism.

Nice that he endorsed Bernie, however. Good to see that at least he isn't as delusional as his fans (some of whom I have on Facebook) that seem to think his $1,000 answer to everything would fix the class war lickity-split.

his UBI doesn't reduce any entitlement spending

Quote
Until then his platform was a bandaid on a gaping chest-wound of capitalism.
giving people free healthcare and education can't solve the inherent contradictions in the laws of capitalism that lead to its mass proletarianization, stagnation, and recurrent crises. It cannot fix the psychopathy of the workplace, eliminate the disparity between urban and rural, stop our tumbling toward extinction, or rid us of slavish obeisance to the law of value. The distance between Sanders and Yang and Warren and even Buttigieg is quite small compared to the distance we have to go. Anything other than commitment to the DECISIVE end of capitalism is but a band-aid over capitalism. Please read Reform or Revolution if you're going to walk around jerking yourself off calling yourself a communist all the time.

I keep hearing people say Biden/Bloomberg/Buttchug/Klob are splitting the moderate vote, but is there any good data that says those supporters even realize those people are moderate? Feel like the average voter is uninformed and this is just a popularity contest.

anyway I do actually get triggered every time (even though I have him on ignore!) timu says that Yang had an "inferior version of UBI". instead of everyone having a statutory, birthright share of the surplus product, he prefers bernie's plan to create make-work like leaf blowers or those walmart greeters and pay them $15/hr for it. that's interesting. retarded, but interesting.

I forget the exact amount but it's non-trivial that voters are shown to support candidates they believe will win even when disagreeing or disliking the candidate. It then becomes self-fulfilling in primary like setups where multiple elections are happening quickly after one another.

One of the most interesting lectures I ever had in college was on voting theory. It was super irrelevant to the class (networking engineering) but the prof just seemed to really like talking about it.

From here I think Sanders just gets on a roll. I don't think there's nearly as much resistance to him within the party as pundits or social media addicts would imagine, and if people are seeing you throw a victory party every week they're liable to just jump on board.

Bernie just applies that old RUSSIAN COMMUNIST principle:
In the U.S.S.R. work is a duty and a matter of honor for every able-bodied citizen, in accordance with the principle: "He who does not work, neither shall he eat."
