I think we should be slow to suggest that he wasn't elected for many other terrible reasons.

He's winning 50-44-6. Zinke won 56-41-3 and 55-41-4. Daines won 53-43-4. 2014 was the only of the three elections with less than 480,000 votes with 368,000.

It's entirely plausible the guy won the early vote by ten plus points and lost the election day vote with some GOPers just not voting but too much of the electorate voting early for it to have mattered.

I think he's run for Mayor of Kiev like every time for the last decade incrementally improving from like 10% to 20% to eventually getting elected, was at all the Euromaiden protests, almost ran for President but there were too many hurdles in part due to his boxing career. Been in Parliament, leader of various parties as they went through all the turmoil. The Orange Revolution got him involved in it all I think.

Time for a special prosecutor to look into this.
