Because it compares Jews being slaves which, if it happened (and there's currently no evidence it did) occured over a millennia ago. Then it argues reparations, which by the way, Jews received after WWII even by America when the Holocaust did not happen on American soil. It's a massive false equivalency to degrade and belittle actual black issues by conflating bad rhetoric into a false equivalence at the expense and laughter of the black struggle.

Personally I took it as more tongue-in-cheek and not a serious suggestion that the idea of paying reparations was hypocritical. I feel like the core of the joke is that there is no such thing as a perfect victim- a positive and humanising message overall.

Russia has been supplying us with natural resources and raw materials most of Europe lacks since WW2. (when Hitler tried to take it but couldn't).
Only in the 80's were natural gas deposits found in Holland. NordStream2 is a project to increase the supply to Europe so the increasing demand can be met.

Putin used the gas supply to blackmail Ukraine after it didn't pay its bills, stole gas from Russia and no longer paid the interest on their loans.
Europe is working to diversify its energy supply, including gas shipped from the US but that's very difficult to do and Russian gas is cheap and has been reliable for decades.

The US is also unable to supply an alternative on the same scale especially after they turned the Middle East into a mess so Iraq > Syria > Turkey > Europe is no longer possible either.
So we either buy from the Russians, who only want and actually need the money or we hand over energy security to CZHINA.

Just wanted to chime in that the reperations for slave labor in concentration camps were quite frankly a cruel joke.

Bolton gave Trump a ton of praise for various conservative initiatives that neo-cons wanted. Being tough on China, Venezuela, Iran, etc. Also, after HR McMaster quit, there wasn't a ton of internal options.

Bolton was there, so he got chosen.
