What's Trump's legal argument? Arizona's votes should be counted, but Wisconsin/Michigan/Pennsylvania shouldn't? There is no logic here. I was up until about 6AM watching this shit. Wisconsin was literally counting through the night. So was Michigan. So was Arizona. Pennsylvania (and Nevada) took a pause and then restarted in the morning. They can run their election as they see fit, where is nothing illegal here.

I follow a lot of right wingers who were celebrating all night...until shit started to turn Biden's way. Then they all either said "I'm heading to bed" or simply stopped tweeting...until the morning where there was this concerted effort to paint the process as corrupt. Trump just wasn't good enough at cheating and underestimated how dirty Washington can be.

This time they weren't shell shocked by his turn-out and support on election day and they didn't call his wins early, they just needed to see which margins they would need on 'election night' and give him a false sense of security so his team couldn't respond quick enough. So much advice people give to Trump is predicated on him not being Donald Trump. He's never going to admit defeat, give up, or anything like that. It's the opposite of his personality. And frankly, the power of the presidency is shielding him from a lot of legal entanglements that threaten him financially. There's no way he's gonna give that up...he will fight until he can't fight anymore. And even then, I don't expect him to ever admit he lost.

Trump thus becomes the tragic figure of right wing extremism, and multiple candidates will fight to pick up that mantle and MAGA in 2024. Unless Trump runs again lol.

Republicans aren't exactly fighting for Trump anyway, which is why Eric and Rudy are on the case.
Even Fox News didn't want to change their Arizona call.

Trump specifically wanted to run as the outsider and do things his way and didn't listen to anything they said.
It could've worked out like in 2016 but it didn't and the GOP sits high and dry for a 2024 run with a younger member of the Trump family or Nikki Haley and Florida and Ohio made the map a whole lot easier for them going forward.
Plus, we're likely about to enter a recession which they can now blame on Biden because Trump posted good GDP numbers this quarter. The way I see it, Republicans lost the battle but won the war.
Chances that Biden can repeal the Trump tax cuts are 0. Mitch will probably offer to 'unite' by keeping the skeleton of Obamacare alive. D's and R's alike will probably force Trump and Pelosi to at least sign short term COVID relief for the Christmas season.
Trump won't give a fuck about any of this over the coming three months except fund raising for his next grift and getting his book out.

2018 was an actual wave election. Even if Biden wins the downballot results are shit and we get divided government where nobody but Mitch McConnell is happy.

What is the conspiracy here? The people more willing to do mail in ballots or early voting probably aligned with democrats. People who took the virus seriously. People not swept in Donald Trump’s furor that Election Day was the day to own the libs, to come out and prove that Covid was nothing. And if it’s easier to vote, more people are willing to vote. I work at night everyday and being able to set some time when it wouldn’t be busy instead of a set day where everyone will try to vote was optimal. Doubly so for people who needed to vote on the weekend.

There’s nothing strange about the votes coming in late. It’s a pandemic, it’s not going be a normal year, a normal election. Can Trumpers not be logical and rational? Clearly not. I know usually the “television” has the results the day of, but the data CNN and so reports is an extrapolation of the numbers and the count still continues well after the report. Why do you think they are so careful in calling states all the time?

What is the logic that dems are cheating? Dems are cheating so much that for four years they have been powerless to do anything to Trump. Dems are cheating so much that they were unable to stop Amy Barret. Dems are cheating so much that this race has come down to the wire. Dems must be as bad at cheating as they are at playing politics. Dems are so bad at cheating that they try to play fair to an idiotic degree while their enemy sure dosent. It was clear mail in ballots would be big for Dems. So what did he do? Cripple the USPS randomly for no real reason other than effect the election. He told his followers to “watch” the polls even though there is no evidence of problems. Trump is the one who has tried his hardest to build the narrative of fruad out of his ass.  And then with ultimate projection said they will try to use the courts after saying on tv at the debate he would take it to the courts under no evidence of fruad.
