man i know the series is handheld only :/ but why stick with a dying system when you could make a new one that adds in some bullshit from pokemon go and generates more-than-average hype and sales?

Game Freak is only 1/3rd owned by Nintendo, so their interests aren't always perfectly aligned.

The Pokemon Company and Game Freak primarily want to sell software. Doing so on a large install base makes more sense than otherwise.

They're also not very technically adept and take a while to build something for a new system (and even then, it usually has issues.)

My overall point is that Wrath, bluemax, etc. think they won't show anything other than Mario and literally won't announce any new games. Just going by the odds, that's almost definitely wrong.

They're gonna announce some new games lol. That's really all I'm saying and all I'm expecting.

Tomorrow's gonna set the tone though, if the Pokemon Direct is for anything other than Stars on Switch the entire thing will already be a disappointment for me.

I mean I guess I could look at the Wii U games I own and guess at which one they will port to Switch next since that seems to be their main strategy at the moment. Smash brothers seems like a good choice since they've focused on multiplayer stuff.

Cause Game Freak doesn't care about hardware and probably cares more about install base. Plus don't forget Nintendo just offered another 3DS refresh a month or so ago.

Man that sucks. I own Sleeping Dogs on Steam but haven't played it yet. The combat looks similar but the main draw of Bully for me was probably the setting.

I liked the Wii U version best. Struck a good middle ground between Brawl's babby mode and Melee's fucking insane high skill ceiling, while also having a ridiculous amount of content.

Way Out reminds me of that old X-box escape from a Nazi camp game that I'm forgetting the name of with Uncharted mixed in plus co-op. Mildly interested in that despite never playing the devs previous game. Shame Origin is going to completely fuck over the PC release unless the "EA Originals" or whatever rebranded partners branding allows them to release it on Steam.
