Heyo,
I'm on vacation next week for the first time in quite some time (excluding the 3/4ths of December where work seems to de facto go on hold in every tech company I've worked for). What should I do? I have no plans.
My original plan was to rent a car and drive somewhere like the Hearst Castle. I've lived in California for 2.5 years and haven't been outside the Bay Area, so getting to know the area sounded like a good idea. Then, I realized I haven't driven in over 2 years, and it kinda sounds sorta scary to me to plan a lot of driving without doing something smaller first.
My second plan was Vegas for a week. You see, I -know- I'd hate Vegas, but I guess it's a bucket list destination spot and it's easy to find things to do. I could also try to meet Carrot Top and get him to fuck me. I was able to find plenty of cheap packages, but as I was going over this plan with a friend, she asked if I'd seen the weather there recently, so I checked and it's basically hell on earth there. So the strikes are: 1) I'd hate it 2) Hotter than hell. Positives: 1) Carrot Top fucking me 2) Shit to do.
Last night, a friend recommended Hawaii, which sounded good at first. It's fuckin' Hawaii, another bucket list vacation joint, and again, there were cheap packages that I could get with little notice. Then I realized I hate beaches and shit and the sun.
Then he recommended LA, which also sounded good. The strike against it for me was to find enough shit to do there on short notice.
The last option is to sit in my apartment and abuse GetNugg all week while doing nothing else.
Anyone else have any suggestions? Tell me what to do. My vacation is in your hands.
