GAF as a forum, has been a target for years from certain corners of the internet. This is unprecedented. Never before in history has there been an attempt to discredit someone in a position of real power using disinformation.

Add to this that it’s very easy to just say things in the internet. That’s why it’s of utmost importance to wait quietly and without action until the accused acknowledges their supposed faults, rather than pressure them to do so in any public fashion.

Only because he didn't brag about it on NeoGAF (IMO). I've seen the screenshot, it was posted on Opa Ages (or the Bore?), which is a lot easier to deny or call fake, versus the ass grabbing incident which caused some serious waves even at the time, and showed how he will just scrub the evidence when he can't justify his shitty behaviour.

Attempted. I'm also not a lawyer, but I can't really mentally frame stripping naked and jumping into a woman's shower uninvited and having to be told multiple times no as anything else. I'm sure there are more technically precise legal terms that apply, but if that's what happened, I think it's a fair descriptor. I may be wrong. I'm also not jumping to accuse any party of anything, just stating what happened in brief terms.
