He gets so overcome with emotion by the most random shit. I like some of his stuff, but I can only take a lot of it in small doses. Also, he's in that really awkward period of poetry where they were still really reliant on old forms, but all sorts of structural innovations were about to show up a couple decades later. He feels limited by form in a way that his contemporaries Byron and Shelley do not, IMO.

He's good, just not up there for me with Whitman, Frost, Eliot, or the others I'd put in the absolute top tier.

Lore is overrated.

I get that there's plenty of people who like to get into these "universes" like Halo, Destiny, WoW and so on, but to me it always seems like people jumping unto things hoping to become an expert on them because they weren't born when LoTR came out and they need their thing.

Also while I actually do find the setting and some stuff about Destiny at least interesting, I'm more interested in a good story. Not reading wiki pages upon pages of names I have no idea what they are. I'm interested in themes, character arcs, and actual storytelling not you're lore wankery.

And while I harbor no ill will towards it, Rick and Morty seems kind of overrated. Like I saw one episode and it was solid, but man people can't shut up about. I tend to be turned off to these things nerd things that nerds think nerds have to like.
