It's from my observation on how tedious the whole process of getting money, researching and publishing is. I feel it's at the point that instead of serving the truth, it obfuscates it. For example, in medicine there's a huge problem of under reporting of negative results that is tied to with how the whole academic circus runs and does not reward such findings.

Whenever I visit the USA, I gain at least a kilo from Popeye's biscuits. Jesus. I don't know why supermarket pressurized tube biscuits can't get on that level, but I respect the Popeye's magic for what it is.
