What, it's just paperwork. If there's a way to make your future less prone to death by burning at the stake, then why not  give it a go. If worst comes to worst and you're stuck in a mountain of shit, you'll look back at your fear of paperwork and hate yourself. If nothing happens, at worst you'll have wasted a few afternoons and a bit of your will to live. No biggie.

I miss London every damn time I leave. I'm sure if I lived there, things would change, but of all the cities I've visited in the world, it's still my favorite. Y'all are lucky to live there, those that are.

It's all fun and games until you move here, pay outrageous amounts of money for a shitty flat with poor insulation and water leaks issues, or live a 45+ min commute away which will nullify the different in rent, and make it a coin toss to have to deal with delayed/canceled runs, etc etc etc.

Cheers, it's certainly an amazing thing, even more so considering the 3 previous miscarriages. Because of that we were closely monitored so have had 4 scans already, the development in such a short space of time was crazy.

It seems like everybody's crawled out of the woodwork and settled on era. Seeing how it goes there, the fact that they have a conservative thread that hasn't turned into shrilling and dogpiling (at least last time I checked) suggests they might have learnt from gaf. Then again the Dyack thread and Moriarty thread suggests not. Who knows?

Switching from an office job to a manual job just over 4 years ago means that I'm not on forums as much nowadays anyway so pop my head in at break or in the evening.

Well, good on ya. We’d had a failed preganancy before kiddo, which just made the words ‘strong heartbeat’ resonate like I’d never knew they could. Enjoy it, it really is everything it’s cracked up to be.

As for Resetetera, much as I’d like to converse with you guys again, I have no interest in joining that site. I wanted it to be a fresh start, but it seems like the same old arseholes being arseholes to everyone that isn’t their specific flavour of arsehole. They just can’t see that to normal people like me, they’re VOAT in a different coat. Maybe worse than VOAT, because at least those cats own their motives and feelings.

Ugh. Hadn’t realised how much the old sites (and reset really is just the same shit with a different URL) still annoyed me. I think its because they’re on my side, but they’re ruining my image. Such easy pickings nowadays if you want to point to a ‘loony left’.
