I know right? I'm many times over my initial investment so I'm really not shaken, but imagine being the guy who threw a bunch of money at crypto for the first time yesterday.

Yeah, those wolf signals or whatever... shit wasn't going great. It was frustrating seeing the coins they were signaling already on the rise (some had already hit the first sell target or where outside of the buy zone). And when you waited for the coins to fall back down into the buy zone they would continue to drop/bleed out after you bought them fairly low and you would end up holding heavy bags. Some of them (MCO for example) hit the stop loss or got really close to the stop loss.

Thankfully I've only paid for a month of premium. And, granted, BTC going on a crazy bull run then plummeting shortly after didn't help matters.

Anyways, I think I'm starting to get a better handle of when to buy and when to sell now.

Once I sell off the rest of my bags I'm going to try and scope out coins on my own.

Man, I don't know what's worst.

Waiting for a good entry point to buy back in or waiting for a good exit point to sell at.

Right now I'm watching RLC bleed so I can rebuy...

The moment of truth is almost here...

If it breaks up I'm buying. If it breaks down I'll wait some more....

edit: it's really struggling to break out.

I could see it going right back down to where I originally sold it at this point.

I don't think it works like that.  :doge

People are more likely to lose other's money (especially if there's no real risk for losing it all).

Just discovered a great tool for identifying bases. Basically, anything below a base is great buy in point and anything above it is a great sell point.

https://qft.hodloo.com/

It's fairly new so there will be more additions later on. (also, you can ignore the arrows but it just shows where the app creator bought and sold coins)

Such a slow day...

Better than things crashing and burning but I hate having buy and sell orders just sitting there for hours if not days.

Also, I forgot to put a break even sell order on Steem when it spiked up really quick so I'm still holding those bags.

Eh, I'm just going to keep on holding.

They say during chop like this it's the worst time for swing traders (i.e. me) but a good time for holders and expert day traders.

I’m just hodling ADA and XLM indefinitely now I guess. Doing the swing trade thing was fun for a while, but ending up with heavy bags while ADA / XLM hit new highs was too stressful. Might check out some ICOs.

I'm just not going to look at my portfolio and just go about my day/week/month like it doesn't exist.

Here's a message from one of my signal groups if you want to get in on this dip:

Quote
CRYPTO MARKET UPDATE
We are currently seeing a nice little bounce from BTC and in affect, the whole market. This is an indication that the free fall is slowing down, by no means are we calling this the bottom, a healthy recovery will see a nice bounce or two before the real climb begins.

In saying that, now is a great time to start buying all of those lovely cheap alts.

Alts we recommend for strong recovery are as follows-

ETH
NEO
BCH
BTG
XZC
XRP
STEEM
STRAT
QTUM

BINANCE ONLY
BNB - BUY HEAVILY
WABI
VIBE
IOTA

While these might not be the top gainers, they are guaranteed to have nice steady, full recovery.

What strategy should we employ?

Given the current climate of the market (high volatility) and the very real prospect that the market will take another dive before starting the full recovery. We recommend employing a very simple strategy of Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA). Some of you may have heard of this strategy, some may have not.

For those unfamiliar with DCA please give this link a quick read-
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollar_cost_averaging

Its a pretty simple strategy which involves dividing your capital into equal parts and buying each instrument periodically without emotionally regarding the price and therefore achieving an average price in which you will break even and turn profit, it is very a common strategy to employ during a downtrending market and while conservative, very reliable and well proven.
- Please note, this is a VERY brief description of the strategy and if you are unfamiliar with it, we recommend reading the above link to get the full grasp

Summary
So in short, we recommend you employ DCA strategy to continually buy the above altcoins periodically over the following days/week or so (if you have other favourite alts, please go ahead and buy them, our list is purely guidance of what we consider the 'safest' buys)

If you have any spare fiat/usdt, you can start employing the same strategy for buying btc.
