Despite moderation being super heavy handed (and as we now know, according to Evilore, banning people by the hundreds if not thousands over a year).

Ironically, one of ERA favorite maxims apply here : When coming from a lifetime of privilege, any attempt at equal treatment feels like oppression.

I do believe Norway, Denmark and maybe Sweden had a number of colonial holdings in modern times, including participation in the triangular trade. All fairly minor compared to the Great Atlantic Powers but still.
