Thanks to some graphs, we know the following:

* While they've maintained some pretty steady userbasing and traffic, this is a mere shred of the traffic they had when ResetERA got started. At current, the site's traffic and income is about one quarter what it was in October 2017. The actual consistent traffic fluctuates, but generally is about 20-40% of that number. As of July 4th, 2018, they have fewer hits per page than they ever have.

* Alexa shows some surprisingly positive results for them, but solely because they've only really been audited once, about three months ago, long after the free-fall plummet from October of 2017, and as such it looks like a straight line with the usual minor fluctuations until recently.

* Critically, Alexa's data shows that they bleed about 1500 users a month, presumably divided between banhammer recipients, dead accounts getting removed from the calculations, and so on. The account fluctuation seems to be coming from how well they're able to offset the bleed or not at the end of a given month.

* Fittingly, the site's reach is in a free-fall plummet and is currently in the midst of an all-time low.

* This is despite a significant increase in ranking in search results due to them being piped by friendly sites (Siliconera, Destructoid, Kotaku, etc). Over 70% of the traffic to ResetEra is via such piping (direct links on other sites), with Social Media accounting for less than 7% of its traffic and affiliate links barely over 2%. Somehow this has resulted in there being substantially more pageviews, but less pageviews per user. Predictably the time range for users on the site is also fucking awful.

Conclusions: ResetEra isn't doing so well. It's been having increasingly shrinking reach despite considerably improved traffic to the site, and that has a lot to do with its insane moderator staff chasing off anyone who dares show critical thought or an understanding of causality. Basically every other gaming site is doing better, with even NeoGAF doing better despite dramatically slashed numbers.

How the hell is Gaf doing better?  In terms of growth?  I mean unless something catastrophic happens, I imagine Gaf's ceiling is still lower than Era's floor.  But hey, I'd be all for being proven wrong.
