She was literally discussing the company's product online with a Twitter that lists her as an employee.   So you really think that when that get's reported to the company; the company shouldn't do anything about it?  They shouldn't have the right to fire her over it? 

Honest questions;  I don't see how this is some solvable problem other than "don't be a fucking idiot online when representing your company."

I'm totally understanding of people being uncomfortable when someone goes "viral" for being a jackass in public, and that all gets linked to their real name, and then they get fired.  I do not understand people uncomfortable with this situation though; nor do I see how they really are that relatable.

Not only that, but the guy she went after (Deroir) is one of the few "big" media/content creator types in the community. He has a long standing good reputation in the community, is an official ArenaNet partner and even has an NPC named after him in the game. And she tried to label him a random sexist asshat. It is the equivalent of randomly attacking someone from another company which your employer is working with, and then cc'ing in your entire outlook contacts list to "burn" them. Just wouldn't fly anywhere.

See, this is where they lose me with this shit. If a coder fucks up and you get your items taken and it takes days to get them back, you get a compensation, they don't necessarily fire the dev. There's a lot of ways for the company to acknowledge the fuck-up and not directly sacrifice the valid employee on his/her field.
