It's the left corners of your thumb's fingernails. If left untrimmed, it gets sharper as it turns 60 degrees towards the tips and as it curve towards the fingertip's endpoint extremity. It's the corners that would make your fingernails feel a bit sharp.

also people are pointing out that the one set of Dual Shock 4's had a bad rubber application on the sticks that causes the damage seen in the OP irrelevant of fingernails or even fingers
