I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned before that I’ve been on the rough end of an abusive relationship. She used to get shitfaced and then attack me like a wildcat. It was hard to deal with partially because of that attitude, both from people that didn’t understand, and from the internal ‘why am I taking bites and kicks from a human that I could easily fuck up?’
Yet, I just can’t be offended at that idiot swidge/sleepover on Reset. They’re just ignorant as fuck, is all. They’ve probably gone through some really bad shit themselves, but made the mistake of thinking their experience is the only experience.
It’d be funny though, to be able to sit down with that person and earnestly relate my story. To give them some details on what it’s like to be the man they assume can’t exist. I wonder if they’d call me a liar to my face, or start probing into my behaviours and how they might’ve created or exacerbated the situation.
I think what I’m getting at is that there’s no humanity to be found there. None at all.
