Yeah I was gonna say...I mean, I don't know the science of it or what kind of studies have been done, but I would not be surprised if it turned out that men and women think about things differently, on average

For the most part I agree. However the basic differences between men and women is different from the media stereotype that's been built and perpetuated throughout much of history. The stereotype can be harmful in the way that any media stereotype is. It reduces even casual interactions between men and women into these overly complicated and often pernicious puzzles that need to be solved in order to figure out actual intention. I've been re-watching Coupling recently with my GF and that show is rotten with this kind of ridiculous scenario (even if it's mostly still funny).
