How are game reviewers even considered journalists? Afaik they are fanboys that got lucky to be able to gush over their favorite toys for money, not people that went through the education needed to be in real journalism. Just last year some outlet released a sincere 11/10 review for Mario or something

Imagine a movie reviewer did that. And what are they doing beyond that anyway, except to run interviews that simply repeat a company's PR sheet? Attempts to go beyond that end at embarrassments like Waypoint. No wonder random Youtubers are eating their revenue, they are offering the same thing. How deep must your gamesdoor paranoia go to act like this profession should a be strictly protected class in discourse
