It's a temporary deployment of Adsense responsive ad tags while we switch ad representation. Wasn't supposed to show two big rectangles on mobile, but it's just for a few days. We disabled mobile ads entirely for several weeks in order to provide respite from the malicious redirect issues affecting some users while I sorted out new ad reps, so we have a massive revenue deficit vs server costs right now and the present ad layout helps slightly.
