Only 55% of Americans eligible to vote actually voted in 2016. Chances are the average person you pass by didn't vote for anyone. I guess some areas are more political than others though.
I live in California, in an upper-middle-class Bay Area suburb. Know a lot of Sanders voters, myself included, but not a lot of REEEEEE people. That seems to be more of a Hilary supporter thing, though I've never met one in real life. Performative wokeness, y'all: support a woman who's basically Republican-lite because IT'S HER TURN.
I'm privileged fo sho (despite being brown-skinned and a literal one who incoherently screeches), but I do gotta admit I think of moving to SF or Oakland or NYC sometimes just because the suburbs are so bland and boring. Only thing is I'm kinda worried about being lorded over by people who act like ReeeeeesetEra does.
