When I was correctional officer and you got a child molester type person in your block, they would usually come up to you and ask to be put in protective custody. Then you basically put them in another cell with another child molester. If they were smart they just stayed in their cell all day and wouldn't come out for rec or food. We would just give him a tray after we were done serving the rest of the inmates.

If they weren't known in the prison they might try and get away with lying about what they were in for. But sometimes officers would let inmates know who the kid fuckers were so they could deal with them.

Child molesters have highest recidivism rate so we didn't give a fuck about em. They spend most of the time in the cell talking about fucked up shit. We had one guy get his face smashed into a cement ashtray out in the yard. Couldn't even tell who he was without seeing his ID card. We didn't even bother to find out who did it.
