I think he is popular there too, and i suspect that's why they hate him so much. Sanders is the one dude where the common plebs on ree won't stay silent and will voice their opinion, which in turn makes the protected class led by incelcior really angry because they don't get to lay down the law of the land unopposed as they are used to and the threads become super toxic - and making Sanders support a bannable offense would be too much even for ree.
Without that pushback where they don't even get the satisfaction of having their opponents banned i don't think they would literally shake with anger whenever Bernard is the subject.

Maybe I am more sensitive at the moment because I am currently hospitalised after having my breastbone totally cracked open to remove a tumour, but it’s a real dose of perspective.

I have no idea of the political ideology of the fellow patients in my ward and it doesn’t matter. We are all just people feeling very vulnerable in pain and undignified and probably a little scared, we have family who are worried about us and depend on us.

Btw, the circlejerk around Shakespeare is funny considering he's not the only guy who wrote cool stuff around. There are many, many amazing authors in the history of literature who can shit on Shakespeare everyday without the need to write uselessly flowery stuff. Comics as a medium is just too recent when literature has been around for thousands of years, that's why there is less stuff. Complaing about superheroes is real hypocritical when most books sold are Twilight, 50 shades and non literature stuff (usually even a bit bullshit). People like Dickens started as the equivalent of weekly manga even, back when there was no television. Authors like Hugo could be considered the equivalent to our modern soap operas. Even Opera was actually for the people in the 1800s.
