It’s too bad that legitimate questioning of the original story was muddled with MAGA defenders coming in and trolling.

In Chicago everyone found the story strange and suspect. Just given the details and location of the attack. The only reasonable explanation assuming it was true, was a planned attack from people stalking him. Still some details just didn’t add up. TMZ’s initial reporting did not help of course.

I myself kept an open mind that it could be true and he had some stalkers with a vendetta. But each additional detail to come out did not necessarily support that theory.

There were people who were just blaming him with bad faith intent. The Chicago subreddit was heavily brigaded from T_D over this story (I’m sure here was no different) and that makes it difficult to raise legitimate concerns with the story and avoid taking the side of MAGA trolls.
