If you look at it as a social impact/cultural/political statement, the story of Black Panther is somewhere between nonsensical and disturbingly insulting. It's a twist on the noble savage story while placing its antagonist as a pretty simple minded violent revolutionary. Somehow a macguffin meteor brought super technology and peace to a part of Africa without any exchange of ideas with the rest of the developing world. It doesn't reflect societal evolution at all.However, its a great mystical setting with the crossroads of African settings, tribal dresswear and magical technology. And then it goes into awful CGI fights, but its at least a mystical magical story if you treat it like the comic book it is.Instead of some sort of brilliant statement.
Evilore's in too deep now. He's convinced himself he has to continue the delusion that he did nothing wrong and handled the situation perfectly fine. Instead of trekking around the world getting into 1000 fights, he's stewing at home watching his empty forum, bitter that his incompetence killed his golden goose.

Literally nothing about the story in Black Panther is what's culturally significant. It's significant because it's a $200M tentpole movie with an almost entirely black cast, a black director, and black writers that made over a billion dollars. That's never been done and shows Hollywood that people of color can helm and fill up a highly successful movie for all audiences instead of "black movies" being biopics or shit like Maeda and stalker ex boyfriend movies that don't even get full releases.
Also, 25-30 years ago (lets say 1980), fast food restaurant front line workers and even janitors were making $10/hour. At McDonald's at least.You know, $32/hour now.

I'm not super knowledgable on it, but didn't McDonalds have a HUGE income boost in the 80's-00's, it's only been recently with the boutique hamburger shops like Five Guys, In and Out, Red Robin, etc. that they started to have problems breaking even/making a profit?

Not sure if that's true but I don't doubt it. I seriously doubt places like Subway have ever not had thin margins, though

Food has always been thin. Thin margins is just... a product of simple competition.
I think sandwich shops are the biggest criminal injustice facing Americans today. I can buy the same ingredients at a grocery store for way less and make a way better sandwich, always. If I'm going out and spending money on fast food, it should be something I have no hope of making at home. Like deep fried chicken tenders.

The rock is black and has been top three paid actor every year for a minute, vin diesel is half black, and he was top 5 last year. Will smith was the tompaid actor for a lot of years in the 90s. It’s been clear that hit movies can have black leads for like 20 years.I don’t know about black writers or directors, but I honestly don’t think the average film goer knows who the director is for most movies or even cares. And writers even less so.
