That's why all these upsets happen. Teams have no chemistry and learn how to play together on the fly.

I'd agree. Usually the play isn't that great in a cup. One or two teams really stand out as stellar but this one just sorta feels like "Who can stagger to the finish line"

World Cups aren't where you go for high level football but man this tournament has been especially dreadful in it's quality. VAR is the only thing that made it interesting, really if you think about it.
