I'd say it's a pretty solid reaction for once.  The shit happening with Etika right now is absolutely serious, and yeah his words and actions can be chalked up to mental illness even if you don't want to excuse the words and actions themselves.

Hopefully this DOES make people knock it off with the "mental illness doesn't cause bigotry" myth even when it's a mentally ill white person (or any other race) doing it.  Every single mental health professional of any worth will tell you that's bullshit and that episodes induced by psychosis like this can absolutely have you saying the worst shit imaginable while believing the opposite.  In some cases, your brain is pretty much melting while on overdrive and it's grabbing random shit stored in there with no regards for context. You could just be parroting back something you once heard and are passionately against, which absolutely includes bigoted shit.     

The way some of these "woke" people treat manic episodes is pretty much lowkey ableism which they should really be against.
