I guess they think they can't afford to chase away any more "insiders" and "personalities." ResetERA is desperate to be as big and as influencial as GAF was at its height.

One of the things that kind of says 'white privilege' to me is when white people (I'm a white person) think they should have the benefit of the doubt on something because they've made their position clear in the past. Thinking they have the benefit of the doubt on such issues, is a bit of a trap I see generally good people walk into. Obviously if you're familiar with previous statements by the person you'll not question their motive, but audiences are constantly in flux, and it's something we all need to be constantly aware of.

Is that really "white privilege"?
The expectation that you shouldn't be treated like a massive cunt purely because of your skin colour, because most reasonable people extend that position to others in their daily human interactions?

I really think the Greg bashing in this thread is way overboard. He always comes across as one of the good guys and having listed to this I think his biggest flaw is not being more forceful with his opinions. He is constantly shut down by Andrea and then just kind of follows along.

Andrea deserves it though and is clear from this that her views are not far from the people in question.

"Not wanting to rock the boat" gives the scumbags free reign to do whatever.

And it's not like Greg is an irrelevant nobody. He's has his own show. He can stay minds. He should know the responsibility of not letting toxic views view.

If he's gonna be this spineless, he really doesn't deserve his show.

That's been Reee (and even GAF's) modus operandi for a while. The mods themselves usually won't ban an insider (though they have when said insider says something they find really outrageous), but they do allow their mental patients to grind that person into the ground until that person just quits interacting with the place at all. Though the rule of "never talk bad about gaming media" seems to be an attempt to change that somewhat.

do we need to get Greg away from the abusive partner that is Andrea? Please Greg blink twice if you need help....

Also I think both people from the liberals and the alt right can become incels judging by the way they're attacking her in that thread.

I really can't be fucked to go into it, but why are they being put on blast? Because youtube?

Quite frankly, they're no longer journalists when they're carrying water for Nazis and international terrorists. They're propagandists like the New York Slimes, Washington Post, MSNBC and the rest of the centrist media that stays silent on GamerGate. The "freedom of the press" ends when they betray their country and endanger its most marginalized groups.

Maybe someday when we have industry journalists unionized they can resist the lure of big conservative money and the threats they face if they don't stand united with their fellow YouTube mind terrorists like PewDiePie, Dunkey and RedLetterMedia. But until then the only thing that stands in their way is being called out by ResetERA.com. And if they screw up their chance to work for the right side of history, well, they've dug their own grave on that hill they chose to die on. They'll get to see Trump and the rest of their allies in hell. Inshallah.

You almost start to fear that these people completely missed the lesson of Avengers: Endgame. The Russo Brothers probably expected far too much of the audience, especially those who have only seen the film two or three times.

reddit is a much worse place since the redesign. there used to at least be a one click wall between memepost macros and gifs, now it's just an infinitely scrolling wall of facebook aunt trash to the point that every community that actually wants to have a conversation has created a new sub.

It really is just a soft af inquisition, if anyone steps out on the church their tortured (by sealions who just want you to "explain your position") and summarily executed (canceled). Andrea was a bit wishy washy but it's not like she's out there retweeting Notch's idiocy and poor Greg is now forever tainted in some dumbasses minds because he didn't punch Andrea in the mouth or something.

That's definitely generated text:

Quote
If they Double Down, and are unwilling to see their behaviour as unacceptable, You only owe it to yourself for providing a tiny piece of the shield that lets them think that way

These two sentences only make sense from a neural network treating "owe it to yourself" and "only have yourself to blame" the same.

It's freaky how fast they set a narrative. Anyone who thinks that PDP isn't directly responsible for the NZ shooting is now either banned or lost the will to argue about it. And when someone from outside that bubble doesn't share that extrem view they're instantly branded as Nazi apologist
