Then they refuse to follow their line of thought to the end because they are afraid of stating what they really think. My largest pet peeve overall is the extreme insecurity of some members and faux communist messages I've received from people who object to me being a manager and occasionally offering career advice in certain threads. I can handle constructive criticism and dissenting opinions but most of the time I feel like I'm being made out to be someone who keeps the little guy down or something. It's just weird and always makes me feel personally attacked.

Gies made not mention of the story being too facist or too problematic in his review. A quick look at some of the commenters in this thread, it appears as though they somewhat enjoyed the game too. Most of the polygon staff who wrote about The Division, including Charlie, understood that this was based on the "what if" scenario of "Directive 51."This whole interview and article is just weird to me. Charlie was stoked for the Division and played quite a bit of it. So why come at Spier with that line of questioning? Why isn’t Charlie approaching this game with the same enthusiasm? We could already speculate on where the next story was going to take us, so why is Charlie acting like they purposely picked DC, as if to dance around the current political climate?Ultimately, I’m not sure Charlie even knows what he wants. What could possibly be the expectation of picking a side? The final boss battle is Trump himself and you get to shoot him? I just don’t know what Charlie could think the outcome would be.

It's a little hard to find an area to respond to directly because of how thorough you've been, and I don't see anything that I really substantially disagree with. Additionally, I'm rather apathetic to Ubisoft in particular for whatever reason and I can't really cling to them as a specific example, although I think I've aware enough of their products and how they're marketed to understand your points. But it invokes a few tangential thoughts I've had over the years.
