The claim against Persona has merit because the game itself has homophobia in it. DQ is more complicated.

The push back Lord Ostia is getting in that thread just goes to show a lot of the Reeeing about THQ--like a lot of thing on ResetERA--is nothing more than performative wokeness for the vast majority of them. Probably due to peer pressure and the mods forcing discussion along a certain direction. The second sticking to their guns becomes inconvenient, they are quick to make excuses and exceptions. There is no reason why attacking a small, scrappy developer that's probably barely keeping the lights on is fine, but the actual businesses that keeps THQ viable (Sony, MS, Nintendo, STEAM, etc...) gets a pass. Shaming a small developer and smearing them as pedo-apologists (at the very least) hoping they will break their contract with THQ isn't going to do shit to THQ's bottom-line. But it will let you feel righteous and smug and showoff to you and your peers on Reeee, which is what really matters, right?
