I can't tell you how many times I was disappointed when I see PAWG in the title but the thumbnail clearly shows an ass that can barely twerk.

"Not a good fit for this forum."Got that ban right after I sent Evilore a polite PM asking him to re-open one of my threads.
No one is being paid $100,000 a year to just sit around and do nothing.

He’s the worst embodiment of capital “O” objectivism and both-sidism.
I've only watched one episode of his show, I think it was posted in some thread here, it was some area 51 guy, I wasn't impressed the whole thing was so full of BS, he was very poor at questioning any of it... and started talking a lot of dumb stuff out of his imagination later on, it made me uncomfortable
I enjoy him. I wouldn't say he's a genius or smart, but he's pragmatic. Stopped listening on youtube while signed in because I was sick of getting suggestions for videos featuring people I had no interest in listening to.Conversing with someone doesn't mean you agree and support them.

FernandoRocker has to be a troll right?
Threads on Joe Rogan's podcast invariably go poorly and produce low quality discussion, and we do not believe this one will be any different. Not open for further replies.
Rogan had Dave Rubin on and Dave brought up Ayn Rand (by suggesting Joe ask Yaron Brook to be a guest). It seems to me that Ruben has been persuaded by Yaron ever since having him as a guest on his show (Rubin Report). If I didn't know any better I'd say Dave has been totally converted over to Objectivism from the way their conversation sounded on JRE. Anyway, Joe gave the Gordon Geko Greed response to Ayn Rand and I don't recall Dave's counter, I just remember my heart sank. I don't get the greed speech scene in Wall Street argument against Objectivism. I saw that movie once many years ago and have no recollection of the context and full meaning of Geko monologue.Thoughts?
Of course he doesn't. Joe is constantly going on about how everything is relative, principles are meaningless, that the key in life is to "destroy your ego" through pharmacological experiences, to get in touch with your pineal gland, etc. In other words, his very surface understanding of philosophy is to set you things in exactly inverse of what at least the surface understanding of Rand is. And of course this means he thinks that it would be in your interest, or benefit the ego, to go engage in self-indulgence and predation on others.
I think Rogan is pretty ignorant of Rand's philosophy. It sounded like he was going off of what he had heard of Rand/Objectivism. I highly doubt he has read Atlas Shrugged.
he's just doing what everyone does - arguing against the straw man version of Rand, not the actual nuanced ideology
IMHO Joe is not nearly intelligent as he initially comes off to be. I also believe he is personally biased either for or against guests based on factors I do not understand (maybe subconsciously observed competence or unconsciousness bias). He held zero nuance in regard to the immigrant situation when talking to Duncan Trussell. He just kept raging about the children being separated from there parents..... I ASK What if those kids do not belong to those parents? What if we should not accept any one putting their child at such a risk? This includes people who are citizens of all races ( I hope somebody would take my child from me if I planned to smuggle them 100+ miles through poor countries and mountainous desert terrain). This is a recent example. Despite people's personal opinions on this matter folks are waking up and starting to crave nuance.Joe also flip flops on smaller yet relevant issues that ( for me) add up to a picture that is out of focus. EXAMPLE Joe always talks about personal motivation when more conservative guests are on and tends to sympathize with social programs when a more liberal guest is on.Joe is a comedian/podcaster/martial artist...hardly an intellect....(I know he always says this himself, but I think he often forgets)If anybody wants more examples of Joe lacking nuance or of him contradicting himself I would love to research this.Joe also lives/works in and around L.A. so keep his target audience in mind when judging him.
Rogan shapes a lot of anti-establishment, alt-lite minds, much the way Stern shaped anti-establishment leftists decades ago.Difference is Rogan is VERY influanceable and that makes him volatile in front of his largish, class-diverse audience.

Until Americans start to take meaningful stands against the bloat and corruption permeating through both parties in Washington, centrist Democrat presidents who do nothing and populist Republican presidents who drag the country towards oblivion are all they deserve. How many warning signs is it going to take for meaningful action to occur? Kids getting shot up in schools hasn't done it. Kids getting ripped out of their parents hands and left to die in concentration camps hasn't done it. Cities getting flooded by storms or burnt to a crisp by runaway forest fires hasn't done it. Whites radicalizing in ugly demonstrations of hatred and intolerance towards blacks/latinos/gays of all stripes brazenly in public hasn't done it. Social media shining a big 'ole magnifying glass on it all hasn't done it.Are we still pretending Mueller reading from the report he issued 4 months ago that nobody has seemingly bothered to read is going to amount to anything? Will that make people upset enough to do something that none of those earlier things has done? Of course it won't.But hey, let's light some candles tonight and sing kumbaya for a couple hours tonight so we can all feel good about ourselves for "making a difference". (Oh yeah... that is something that's happening everywhere this evening but you wouldn't know it on Era.)You don't control the house. The champions of the status quo and corporate America control the house. They won the house from the craven and corrupt Republicans by donning progressive clothing so they could get their votes and fundraising support. But that's not who they are. They were pretending. You don't actually have representation in Washington... and you won't until you start actively primarying those entitled moderate centrists out of as many Democrat strongholds as possible. You have enemies in red and enemies in blue. The enemies in red who only live to enrich themselves and plunder must be stopped at all costs while the enemies in blue must be bent to the will of the American people. You do that via the primary process and by giving them as much power to govern (which is supposedly something they want to do - that's what they keep telling us anyhow) as possible.
all democrats care about is keeping their jobs
Coming from a guy that was taught to despise Malcolm X and the Black Power movement, they’ve never been proven more right than ever in this moment. I swear white liberals/centrists are almost as bad as conservatives and the far-right when it comes to expressing racism. At least the far-right is open about it.I especially hate when Latinos are used as a prop for the pictures and magazine covers but kicked to the curb once it comes time to deliver on policy. I feel like the Dems deserve to lose 2020 if they keep this up and nominate a centrist. Not sorry.
Centrists Dems are not your friends. They are not allies to oppressed minority groups. They are the Boogies, they will stand there while minorities are caged and shot in the street and finger wag while you lay on the ground bleeding to death to be civil. They enjoy the status quo. They profit off the status quo. They aren’t hurt when the country moves to the right. They only do enough lip service to get votes and then hold their seats hostage under fear mongering. It’s the way it’s been for a very long time and look at how much we have regressed.
I can't blame anyone for being pissed at Pelosi at this point. It's a shitshow. But y'all better sort this shit out before 2020 or the planet is literally doomed. So clean all this shit up. Starting with impeaching the president. Then we can talk about Twitter moderation.
QuoteAre the folks here contributing to the squad? I’m thinking about doing so now to AOC, Tlaib, and Omar. I’m not a rich man though. Maybe 5 bucks a piece monthly.Huh. I assumed it was "Squawd" as a pun on Pocohontas plus chicks.

I think so? I think I’ve heard some of my podcast personalities in New York say they've given to Omar.
This has been Bliman's schtick for his entire tenure on this site. I honestly hope the mods have been monitoring because it is long past old. It isn't clever and is fairly transparent.

one of my favorite threads is still the one where ResetERA.com wanted Trump to invade Brazil to stop them from potentially cutting a small part of the Amazon because Bolsonaro said he was open to it in an interview or somethingespecially the post talking about how the Amazon was our only global source of oxygen
It would have consequences for the entire world, and I am not talking about humanity alone. 99% of the known species relay on oxygen to survive. Taking away the amazon forest which is one of the world main source away would require intervention much more than a war over oil.
What‘s worse being a capital-O Objectivist or a capital-g Gamer?

Couldnt the UN intertwine? This is a war I am willing to support, at all cost. There is no oil to get, no precious resources just air we need to survive.
Sorry, but the Amazon is too vitally important to the global ecosystem to let any one nation "do what they want" with it.
You can't offset the loss of the Amazon rainforest. It's the only damn thing keeping our heads above the water and they're just going to cut the whole thing down because they don't give a shit.In the last few years we've proven we just don't deserve this planet. This guy is the latest in a long line of extraordinarily disappointing choices made by humanity, fueled by short term gain and selfishness. We've spent so much time over the last seventy or eighty years trying to prevent humanity from wiping itself out with nuclear war yet, in the end, we're still killing ourselves and taking every other living thing on this planet with us...What the fuck was all of this even for?

Tovarish - at the party meeting we discussed whether you were a class collaborator or not. The obsession with watches, and the private education, that was quite буржуазный indeed. However after we reviewed your taste in kino, there was no doubt about it: you are пролетариат.Karakand... welcome to the revolution.
when did you make that? I hope it was years ago and you can't even remember the season
EDIT: wait, if it turns out you also like Jeff Foxworthy, that's gonna be something like a last straw for me
