Nope. He’s as “Native American” as Elizabeth Warren. Fuck, even Warren could stick to one tribe.

As a native american I'm tired, just so tired.   Now people will assume we wear multiple scarves along with a dozen bracelets at a time.

For once, not a REEEEEEE thing.  SYSTEM WARZ are still alive and well:

Currently, user score is lowering as we speak.

The negative comments are comparing this game to God of War with 30FPS. Not sure about the rest, as some of them aren't in English.

Why? What happened?

It's an exclusive.

While probably not the main cause, there's a bit of a controversy right now in the Spanish community because of the game running at 30FPS.

Edit: checking the reviews, I found a few of Spanish-speaking people with low score complaining about framerates. Probably that + the usual platform war shit.

It's hard to believe the Rogan/Carmack locks are real.  It's the most non-political and secular topics of conversation (AI, video games, virtual reality, cars, social media, martial arts).  They don't broach anything even remotely political in the entire 2 and a half hours of conversation.  Why are they banning discussion of this conversation?  It's beyond the pale of their normal insanity - where they just block discussion of a conversation that tangentially alludes to opinions they don't agree with.  This is completely devoid of anything like that.

Someone made a thread asking if Joe Rogan was a banned source on Ree yesterday. What did the mods do? Didn't answer the question, locked the thread, and chastised the OP for even asking the question publicly.  :lol

I don't understand why the mods don't just come out and say, yes, Joe Rogan is a banned source.

I liked that the message they left locking the Rogan/Carmack thread basically admitted that certain people on the board will flock to the thread and turn it into a garbage heap and that the moderators won't do anything to stop it from happening, so the best thing to do is just shut the thread down completely before that group shows up.

Yeah, but it's the lack of compromise that gets me.  The Carmack interview was excellent.   Joe pitches some very general questions and Carmack guides the whole thing so fluently.  Surely, it's worth the risk of having to listen to evil Joe Rogan pose a few minutes worth of questions to hear from the mind of one of America's most brilliant gaming/tech trailblazers ever?  And what if it's the case that many of them actually did get over that, and did go ahead and watch the interview because they were interested in Carmack...but still agree that it's a bad topic of discussion for Resetera?  That's even worse.

So torn on this. I hope the localization picked up the trash transphobia best they could. Can’t even be mad at how sudden this release feels didn’t wanna pay full price for it considering the controversy anyway. I’ll be patient and wait things out 😭. Shame cause the original game is so good.

Not surprised that Atlus USA wasn't able to do much to remove the shitty content but still disappointed.

I was initially really excited when this was announced as the original is one of my favourite games of last gen but the entire handling of Rin is off putting to say the least and the fact that they didn't address any of the transphobic content from the original just makes it worse.

What a bummer.

shouldn't be surprised, but I can't not be disappointed. How fucking hard is it not to be transphobic pieces of shit, Atlus? Trash.

Yikes okay will have to pass. I loved the original barring the transphobic stuff (which a lot went over my head as I was not super well educated on the topic) and was looking forward to playing again so long as it wasn’t gross.

I definitely think we need a new thread, letting people know the game is still transphobic. We had a thread previously about how the localization was going to remove the bigotry, which we now know they didn't.

Jesus Christ. Every weekend there's a Ree suicide thread

https://www.resetera.com/threads/about-to-lose-my-job-i-think-im-done-with-life.138284/

That's a very credible suicide thread.

I liked that the message they left locking the Rogan/Carmack thread basically admitted that certain people on the board will flock to the thread and turn it into a garbage heap and that the moderators won't do anything to stop it from happening, so the best thing to do is just shut the thread down completely before that group shows up.
You may think this is clever, but it's much more blatant how you're trying to gaslight people into dropping their guard against low post count members and others malicious forces targeting ResetERA.com.

It will get worse too as forums are heavily the 25 to 45 yo demographic. Back in 2000 we were all invincible.

So torn on this. I hope the localization picked up the trash transphobia best they could. Can’t even be mad at how sudden this release feels didn’t wanna pay full price for it considering the controversy anyway. I’ll be patient and wait things out 😭. Shame cause the original game is so good.

Quote
Not surprised that Atlus USA wasn't able to do much to remove the shitty content but still disappointed.

I was initially really excited when this was announced as the original is one of my favourite games of last gen but the entire handling of Rin is off putting to say the least and the fact that they didn't address any of the transphobic content from the original just makes it worse.

What a bummer.

Quote
shouldn't be surprised, but I can't not be disappointed. How fucking hard is it not to be transphobic pieces of shit, Atlus? Trash.

Quote
Yikes okay will have to pass. I loved the original barring the transphobic stuff (which a lot went over my head as I was not super well educated on the topic) and was looking forward to playing again so long as it wasn’t gross.

Quote
I definitely think we need a new thread, letting people know the game is still transphobic. We had a thread previously about how the localization was going to remove the bigotry, which we now know they didn't.

And on the same day that Bill Burr's special got announced...

:yikes
Today of all days, why don't these folks read the staff posts.

what would happen if era opened a thread where nothing said in it would be moderated in any way or affect your standing on the rest of the site, and they set a rule like "we will only delete content illegal in the country era is hosted"

just one thread where anyone can say anything

Red Mercury and Excel would say "Gosh and peaches, you should all stop it!  Just stop it!  I'm so tired."
