May 2008, I’m 25 and I decide to marry my long time gf or whatever after knowing each other for 10 years. We lived apart for most of those years and the only contact we had was a random, occasional phone call once every couple of years or so.

We marry in Vegas, my dad drives us back home to Texas in a rental car. Once we get home to my small, one bedroom apartment, things go south almost immediately. I wake up the next morning to find she texted my brothers her naked vagina in the middle of the night.

From there, things just continue to get worse. If I want to see my mom, she would go, “who are you fucking, you mom or me?”. If I wanted to watch anime, she would get pissed and say “you gonna watch fucking pikachu again?” (She referred to all anime as “pikachu”).

if we were watching tv and a somewhat attractive woman was in it, she made me turn my head or close my eyes cause she didn’t want me seeing the actress.

Made me come home every single day for lunch and if I didn’t, the apartment would be wrecked. Assumed I was cheating on her at work if I didn’t.

She gets pregnant. Big mistake. She was already baby obsessed and wanted one. Except her body was so wrecked from doing drugs in her earlier years, she was in constant pain and eventually miscarried about one to two months into it.

More yelling, more fighting continues until I finally have enough and send her back home to Cali that November. So we were together as a married couple for only six months.

After all that stress and fighting and turmoil, I wasn’t getting enough sleep and eventually lost my job of 8 1/2 years in January 2009.

Lost my apartment and was forced to move back with my parents. Credit was shot. Had to file bankruptcy. Started selling electricity door to door but it didn’t pay shit. Stopped going and didn’t know what to do. Couple months later, my dad comes home and tells me my old boss asked about me and expressed interest in giving me my job back. (We both work for the same company)

Got back a year and a half later August 2010 and been there ever since. My bankruptcy is close to falling off my credit and I bought a brand new car last year and have several high limit credit cards. Got a nice new apartment in a upscale neighborhood and just got a $2 raise this summer and just turned 37 last week.

So with time and patience, and perseverance, and a little luck, you’ll bounce back from this.

Didn't Edison (or actually representatives he hired) made demos of killing animals using the competing patent of Alternative Current in order to smear it by propagating the idea it was dangerous to living beings (which would later turns into Edison lobbying for AC to be adopted for the first electrical chairs and straight up buying AC generators with a shell company to then supply them to NY state prisons) ?

Based on posts I've seen from you on this topic, I take you at your word. I have zero confidence in that "90%+ of Resetera posters favor developers over crunch" that we saw in that poll though. In any case, do you really think the game is a scam. It's microtransactioned to about 50% of a 2k Sports game, but the roadmap and updates they provide point strongly to an actual game being built.

To my earlier point, there are several of these threads every week complaining about game delays. We have dozens of others complaining about the level of content in a game. If a game isn't ready, and a game delay is cause for a heart attack, then how do you avoid crunch? Magic? A DBZ hyperbolic time chamber?

Can you imagine if No Man's Sky had delayed until August 2019 so that they could deliver the game they did in the latest update? We'd see the exact same posts that are in this thread. The conclusion is that most Resetera posters want a game that takes 5 years to be released in 1-2. Afterwards, they want a biweekly update cycle. Anything short of that is cause for endless hand-waving that exposes how ppl here really feel.
