I'm concerned that Tencent's expansion into the west (with buying stakes in companies like Epic) isn't fueled by just a motive to make more money, but also by China wanting a larger role in controlling western media and subjecting it to China's moral and other values. Epic Game Store's aggressive expansion and the methods used certainly start to make more sense if it's actually backed by a desire to control more of the video game market, which in turn would allow for easier content policy dictation and control over what's allowed in games.
