I'll get Vista eventually but no $ plus Microsoft 1st release = no no.  I have IE7 but have gotten so used to FF that I'll prob never go back.

Edit: Grammar am me yay!

The 1st release rule can apply to almost anything, but I will say that my experience with Vista in Beta was 90% positive, with the negatives being the fault of hardware manufacturers.

I'm willing to give Microsoft the benefit of the doubt on this one, but for me I'd want Vista with a DX10 card and all the bells and whistles.  Also I have heard of a lot of driver issues with the hardware manufacturers but that should be fixed shortly.

If you've got Vista Ultimate...try out Dreamscene that was just released (via Windows Update Ultimate Extras) and get the .Dream files from this site...

Its essentially a looping background image (a video really) but some of the nice ones make the background look fucken awesome. It also offloads the decoding completely to the GPU (should be)...so you don't get a hit in Desktop Application performance :D :D :D

Its purely aesthetic...but now we can move away from static desktop picture and have really cool looking background that in full motion.

That's seriously  :-*, what makes vista ultimate any special that it can run those 3d wallpapers? That's just lame.

It has other various things too (that are in the Business Class tiers) but I think its completely pointless for regular Joe home users. Home Premium should suffice.

As far as DreamScape. I'm not exactly sure but I think it may go to Home users eventually. Its probably a limited thing where Ultimate users get it first than Home Premium users get it down the line. You need Aero for it obviously. Its fricken awesome :D
